When a family loses someone suddenly without a prepared memorial portrait, the album photo they reach for most is a family photo — a holiday, a first birthday, a wedding, a trip. There may be no solo shot, but the likeness is clearly there.
Studio Davinci moves one person from a group photo to a memorial in four steps (32-year standard, since 1994): separate the person (hand-refining hair and shoulder edges so no composite seam shows), preserve the original face and everyday expression, composite natural clothing (suit, shirt, cardigan, or hanbok), and rebuild the background in a memorial tone. Extraction is possible when the face fills at least a quarter of the frame, is front-facing or slightly angled, separable from neighbors, and lit.
This case began with a 1980s family photo — the person holding a baby outdoors among spring blossoms, others beside them. We separated the figure, composited a deep navy suit with a cream shirt, and set a beige gradient memorial background, keeping the original face and smile. The family said, "That day's expression carried straight into the portrait."
