Family composite — six children and two late parents, hanbok and suit, eight people at 5R

Six children already photographed together in one black-and-white shot. The family asked to bring two parents, photographed separately long ago, in front of them for a family portrait of all eight together.

Leave it to AI and the pose, gaze, and light of the two added people fall out of register, leaving them floating unnaturally. Working from the deep studio-background light of the six children's original, Davinci matches the hanbok and suit weave of the two parents, the surfaces the light touches, and the shadow direction as if shot by one camera. The two parents' original likenesses were carried over straight from the old photos, leaving untouched the expressions the family recognizes.

This work seated the mother in a pink hanbok and the father in a suit in front chairs, with the six children arranged in a classic family-portrait composition, a hand on each shoulder.
