How this work was made
A family photo where color had faded over time and some areas were damaged. At the commission, the family asked that "the expressions just as they were back then" be preserved.
Davinci traced each person's face one at a time, preserving the expression lines, eyes, and likeness exactly. The original colors of fabric and background were restored by period reference of the era's photo tones, and each person's tone was matched so the result reads as a single capture from one camera.
Finished at 5R, made fitting to enshrine in a place the family can view together.
When an app fills in broken pixels, it becomes a different person. Davinci lays clarity back over the original face.
