How this work was made
A brown Toy Poodle lying on a gray carpet, looking up. Big, curious eyes and neatly groomed fur — the family asked us to keep this moment in the dog's life as a piece they would hold onto for life.
Left to AI, the grain of the fur and the look in the eyes get smoothed into an average illustration and become a different dog. Studio Davinci keeps the brown fur grain, the dark eyes, and the small nose exactly as they are, laying down only the grain of the medium in digital painting.
For this piece we tidied the cluttered carpet and blanket background into soft sage-toned abstraction and faded the edges, finishing it like a single painting. At A4, it suits a desk or a wall equally.
