A selfie taken on a phone, dressed in hanbok. Even against a cluttered event background, the jeweled hairpin and the embroidery of the blue hanbok stayed vivid.
Left to AI, the cluttered selfie background gets auto-filled while the face is smoothed into an average and becomes a different person. Studio Davinci keeps only the subject's expression, hair grain, and hanbok embroidery as they are, tidies the cluttered background by hand, and then lays down the grain of oil.
For this piece we tidied the crowd and clutter of the event background into abstract beige and added "우리 영이♥" hand-lettered calligraphy on top, finishing it as a family-keepsake piece. At A4, it suits a desk or a wall equally.
