A phone snapshot of a child smiling wide on a night street — a beige bucket hat, a gray hoodie, a bag over one shoulder. The family asked us to keep this moment in the child's life as a piece they would look at forever.
Left to AI, the child's expression gets smoothed into an average illustration and becomes a face different from the photo. Studio Davinci keeps the grain of the smile and the look in the eyes as they are, laying down only the thick brushwork of oil so the photo and the painting read as the same child.
For this piece we simplified the lights and signs of the night street into warm brown abstraction, while keeping the bucket hat, hoodie, and bag detail intact. A moment in the child's life finished as a family-keepsake oil-style portrait.
